Belly Casting is a safe, simple process which involves laying wet plaster bandage (widely used in hospitals) over the pregnant torso at around 37 weeks.
This quickly hardens to create a perfect replica of the pregnant form. With one willing helper, you can create your work of art with the minimum of mess or fuss.
The kit includes detailed, easy-to-follow instructions with diagrams and photographs to guide you through each stage of the process - from preparation, to creating your masterpiece and clearing up afterwards.
Your Belly Cast can be left exactly as it is or strengthened, smoothed, painted or decorated - whatever takes your fancy.
Odd you may think, but lets look at what previous belly casters have to say:
"Being pregnant has been an amazing experience, and I can't think of a better way to remember this special time than to have a body casting made of my 'bump' that I can look at and enjoy in years to come. It is hanging on the wall of the nursery and is something unique that I will treasure forever."
Alison - Notting Hill
"I read the article in The Evening Standard & bought a kit. It seemed like a wacky idea that matched our personalities perfectly. It was a fun experience that we won't forget in a hurry."
Simon - Hoxton
"I watched a lady have a cast made of her belly on 'This Morning'. After it had finished I got straight on the phone to a friend to ask her if she'd help me do one. She said she had seen bellycasting kits advertised in a local shop, so less than 2 hours later she was at the door ready to cast me up! It was as simple as that."
Catherine - Camden Town
"I bought Belly Casting Kit from Shower My Baby as a joint maternity present for a colleague at work. She absolutely loved it and I would seriously recommend buying it as the perfect maternity leave present."
Tamzin - Canary Wharf
So what can I do with my belly casting?
